I feel like very often some piece of art (paintings, music, photography, opera, theater, etc.) is appreciated because it was created by some famous artist, rather than because its own value/beauty/message/etc.
For example, during intermission, people often talk about the actors, rather than the subject/message of the show.
I think that's wrong, and I'm curious what you think.
Let me know if you think I should add other options to the poll (no guarantee though
