I also think people are using Pis in many applications where an Arduino would make much more sense.
No worries about boot time, kernel updates, Linux hackers, much less power required.
Also, nowadays some Arduinos use ARM processors that are much faster than the original and have enough memory, and built in hardware for internet, wifi, bluetooth, etc.
The Pis are still great for some projects but often it's just not the right choice.
