There should be more clubs and programs at schools that promote character creation and world building.

If it doesn't fit anywhere else...

As an avid fantasy and semi sci fi fan, exciting worlds and vivid characters are truly wonderful to reflect upon in the real world. Clubs at school that focused on students building a cohesive world of any genre would allow for creative insight into how we view a good character with morals we agree with, or develop complex individuals that help us tackle morality and the depths of how far a person can go before they become a hero, or a villain, or something in between. Exciting world building also allows for the analysis of cultures from the real world for inspiration, and allow students to create the magical and epic fantasy/sci fi worlds that may inspire them to change the real world for the better. More of these types of clubs would promote growth and development of students at the school environment. Tell me what you think!

I think creative writing in general is a useful skill for students (helps them write in any environment, including professional) and should be taught more. That is an interesting point that writing about complex individuals could help students learn more about humanity/the real world :). I don't read/write much fantasy as I feel that world building/characters can sometimes go too far in that genre (of course there are exceptions), but your thoughts can apply to any creative genre and it would be interesting to see how schools could integrate creative writing with history to make it more engaging and less rote memorization.

Agreed!
Creative writing in this new time and age can be a huge asset for "Social Media" related jobs.
With so much content everywhere, it's getting harder to write anything people haven't seen before.

I completely agree! Perhaps there is a LOT of fiction already out there.
